How To Create A Virtual Support Group During The Lockdown
So you can keep in touch with success
In order to be effective, efficient, precise, and productive, any decision-maker needs to think collaboratively. Going it alone will not work as it once did. You can create a simple support triangle of three peers.
Thanks to technology and social networking it is not necessary for the members of your Support Triangle (ST) to live in the same place as yourself. An ST can conduct conference calls, a three-way phone call, or make use of cutting-edge technology to facilitate the process. For instance, you can create an ST for business brainstorming, one for multi-cultural interaction, etc.
Multi-cultural support triangles are a wonderful tool for opening us to an entirely new way of experiencing life. New cultures can expand our world view and reduce the chance that we will unexpectedly accept racial or ethnic stereotypes in our lives or allow them to breed and spread through us onto others.
This is all bout excellence.
Excellence is a talent or quality which is unusually good and so surpasses ordinary standards. It is also used as a standard of performance as measured e.g. through economic indicators.
In modern public relations and marketing, “excellence” is frequently criticized[citation needed] as a buzzword that tries to convey a good impression often without imparting any concrete information (e.g. “center for excellence in …”, “business excellence”, etc.).
Let’s explore the history of peak performance and the concept of peak performance
The Ancient Greeks had a concept of ‘arete’ which meant an outstanding fitness for purpose. This occurs in the works of Aristotle and Homer.
Another related concept was ‘eudaimonia’ which was the happiness that resulted from a life well-lived, being prosperous and fulfilled. The equivalent concept in Muslim philosophy is ‘ihsan’.
Practice makes perfect
Studies have shown that the most important way to achieve peak performance and excellence in fields such as sport, music, and the professions is to practice. Malcon Gladwell writes about this in many of his influential books. Achievement of excellence in such fields commonly requires approximately 10 years of dedication, comprising about 10,000 hours of effort.
Takeaway
Don’t try and convince yourself you're isolated. you're not. Creating or joining a mastermind group online, or through Zoom will help you to maximize your potential, and achieve success at the lowest possible cost.

About my stories on Medium
Most of my Medium stories, when related to natural healing. self-improvement, life lessons, mental health, and Eastern Philosophy are anchored into the concept of Applied Game Theory. This idea explores how and why people make certain choices, including decisions related to their health, well-being, and self-awareness.
Researchers into game theory have won over twenty Noble Prizes. The movie “A Beautiful Mind” is about the life of John Nash, one of the pioneers in game theory. Of course, the most sophisticated competitive and strategic game in existence is the Chinese game of Go. Learn more about the powerful tool, game theory, for self-improvement. I explain it in the Medium.com article below.
The article was written so that a 12-year-old can easily understand and apply the simple 3 step system. The article also includes a short video interview of me with Jim Selman a pioneer and thought leader in leadership, business success, and innovation.
