The Big News — January 6, 2020 — An Analysis of The Attempted Coup D’état in Washington D.C.
Let’s all thank the founding fathers and their constitutional genius.
The big story was, a mob of uneducated, foolish, irrational clueless, and emotionally damaged Trump supporters invaded the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. One of them invaded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and sat at her desk.
Most of my progressive and liberal friends were terrified, horrified, and fearful of a real coup, but I never was. Have no doubt about the fact that American democracy was at risk when the Capital was stormed by Trump supporters. Still, I never doubted the income.
I’ve always had tremendous respect for the founding fathers and the intellectual slugfest they went through back in 1776 and in the following years in writing the U.S. Constitution. They were preparing us for the kind of stuff that would happen if someone like Donald Trump became president. They weren’t fools! They knew.
