What is an Empath?

Understanding those who can feel what you are feeling.

An empath is a person with the natural and intuitive ability to understand, perceive, and share the feelings of another.

There are two primary types of empath.

1. Those who have empathetic experiences but are at a loss of what to do with them.

2. Those, who having empathetic experiences, seek to master them and use them to serve others in kindly, loving, and compassionate ways.

The first type of empathy often lives in a state of fear and confusion. On the one hand, they have been given a great gift but on the other hand, they are fearful of its power and overwhelmed by it. They often take to self-medicating, and excessive alcohol, and substance abuse as a means to numb the overwhelming feelings that come with being an empath.

The second type of empath is on a journey to self-awareness, personal development, and metaphysically driven leadership.

An individual who has empathic sensitivity may not define themselves as an ‘empath’. Still, this doesn’t prevent them from using their empathetic sensitivity, and skills to influence others into making the world a place of greater love, compassion, and…
